UK Core Skills Training Framework – CSTF Aligned Statutory Mandatory Training Providers.

Since its inception in March 2013, the UK Core Skills Training Framework (UKCSTF) has guided the training of healthcare workers in NHS Trusts and the private sector.

Through its ‘subject guides’, Skills for Health provides essential updates for healthcare employers and training organisations to be aware of changes in relevant legislation, regulations and best practice recommendations.

What is the UK Core Skills Training Framework?

With a highly mobile workforce, healthcare employers often need to identify recruits’ previous training. Where training information is lacking, healthcare professionals can repeat training unnecessarily, wasting time and money.

The Statutory/Mandatory UKCSTF addresses this issue. It allows healthcare employers to recognise statutory/mandatory training to a standard, trust that information and reduce duplication of training. Launched in 2013, the Statutory/Mandatory CSTF is maintained and updated by Skills for Health.
